Pay attention, it won’t hurt!
Colours act like adjectives, so in Spanish they should come AFTER the noun which they are describing.
If you are talking about several things with the same colour, you’ll need to use plural forms:
Some of the colours have male and female forms:
Por ejemplo:
El submarino amarillo
The nickname of the Villareal football (soccer) team, who play in an all-yellow kit.
La roja
The nickname for the Spanish national football team. They play in – you guessed it – a red kit. Why is the feminine form used? Because in Spanish, the word ‘selección’ is used to describe a national team in any sport, and the word is feminine. Un viejo verde
A derogatory term for an older man who habitually makes advances to much younger women.
